Volleyball (M) v Hall 9

The first match of this day was of our male team. In the first set, we did not play well enough, letting Hall 9 lead throughout this set; as a result, they  won the first set 25-12. The second set saw Hall 11 playing with much better teamwork. We seized the lead from the beginning and had a 10-4 lead. However, the game then became very interesting when Hall 9 came back to the race and got the lead 11-10. Both teams then alternately seized the lead, and we managed to finish the set 25-23. The match came to the third set, which is also the most competitive set. Both teams were seem to be very composed and tried to win each  point. Both teams being very balanced, our team was unfortunate to lose the final set by 22-25.

Although the team faltered at the beginning and possibly lost the match there, they definitely deserve praise for their determination and the spirit from the start to finish. Overall, this was really an unlucky match for our male team.

The second match of the day was of our female team; this is our last match of the prelimiaries. We made a fantastic turn around in the first set when Hall 14 had an early lead 9-4 and then we, Hall 11, won back 25-19. The second set was easier for our team when our servers did very well. Hall 14 players could hardly return our serve. We maintained the 1 to 3 point lead almost all the set and won the game quickly at 25-16.

Our female players have played a very good match with good concentration despite having passed the preliminaries already. All the best for our next match in the quarters!
